Plums are a well known and extremely hardy fresh fruit that makes an easy-to- . The round, approximately apple-sized plum comes in several varieties and colours. Breeders have also discovered to produce a variety of dimensions, colors and flavors throughout the hybridization of plums. Breeders have created numerous types of plum hybrid, as well as a few are especially well known to the Westcoast.

Apriums

Apriums are a trade-marked hybrid blend of plum and apricot. These little fresh fruit are related to the Pluot, which can be an apricot-plum blend, but have apricot than plum features. This is because the Aprium is a crossbreed between a plumcot as well as an apricot, which is 50 50 split up between plum . apricot and Apriums therefore are known to taste like an abnormally apricot with plum hints and are usually coated in a gentle layer of fuzz resembling an apricot.

Peacotums

Peacotums are a mix of plum, peach and apricot. The peacotum has been available since 2008. These fruits, such as Aprium the Pluot and plumcot, aren’t produced through genetic modification but through cross-breeding. Peacotums have a flavor of fresh fruit punch because of the triple blend of fruits.

Plumcots

A plant breeder created and named in the late-19th hybrids. These hybrids are a a mixture of half half and plum apricot. Two well known plumcot types made significantly later, Zaiger Genetics, in the 1980s by are Plum , Flavorella Parfait and even though there are also several more. Using the apricot features being notable in the taste, Plumcots are identified to resemble plums than apricots.

Pluots

The outcome of plumcots — which are half plum — Pluots, with plums are 60% plum and approximately 40% apricot. This plum hybrid is related to a Aprium in that it is a mix of plum and apricot but preferences and seems significantly similar to a plum opposed to the mo Re apricotlike look and flavor of the Aprium.
